Cavern Retail Consulting is business-to-business consulting company in the retail industry. The owner of the company was the primary product for this site and it was important to her to have a unique website that differentiates her from other competitive consultants. She also wanted to be able to manage the site herself and post her blogs regularly without professional assistance.

This site has a very funky design that reflected the client’s desire to NOT look like all the other consulting sites out there. The site is created on a CMS platform (WordPress) to give the client the ability to update the content and post her blogs.

Dr. Lilli Ruth Rosenberg is a Couselor and Therapist practicing in Victoria BC. She came to me in 2011 to update her site. Her new vision for her site was that she wanted to be able to post articles regularly and make her site SEO friendly. We decided that WordPress platform is quite suitable for her and it would give her the ability to manage her content easily as well as optomozing the site for the search engines.

Description

Ensemble Travel Group site is a web marketing tool to attract prospective members to register with this company and enjoy special programs and products that have been designed to help their business grow.

The challenge was to use a Content Management System that enables the employees of the Ensemble company to edit and manage the content easily. In addition, the company required a strong visual layout that complements the company’s brand while appealing to the target market. Overall, the site carries a “call to action” mentality in its design to strongly encourage sign up by the visitor.

Description

Mothership Stories Society is a non-profit organization to encourage people to write and share stories about their mothers. These stories, once entered onto the site, are then archived and available to visitors. This site was a true multi-media project. Part of the project was creating from scratch a "collage" type video of numerous ladies giving testimony on telling their mother’s story. Also the home page featured a navigateable slide show that helped lead visitors deeper into the site.

Due to the constant addition of new stories this site was designed around it being easy for the site owner to update and archive the material on the site.

My Mother's Story

Description

La Cucina is an authentic Italian restaurant located in North Vancouver. Up until this point, they had zero web presence and this site was created to remedy that situation.

The main goal of this site is to inform the patrons of current menu choices, special meal options and provide contact information for the restaurant. The site does not require regular maintenance and is designed around the digital brochure concept.

Special attention to the imagery and design elements on the home page was important to draw the attention of new potential visitors.

The overall design concept was tailored to make this site easy and relaxing to wander through.

Description

Self-Healing by EFT is an e-learning website. This site teaches the students the therapeutic benefits and principals of the Emotional Freedom Techniques. The challenge making this site was organizing and presenting the course materials in an easy to understand way. It needed to appeal to visitors with varied learning styles in order that they could easily follow the instructions and benefit from the lessons.

By using Flash Animation it is simple to quickly understand the basic process that the EFT patient has to follow during the therapy. Also adding videos increased the level of perception for visual and auditory learners. A short quiz in the final evaluation section measures the amount learned by the student during this course.

This Documentary Film School site was given to our team as an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) project. Creating this site promotes the Documentary Film Program at Capilano University, BC. The Main goal of this project is developing better Search Engine Optimization strategies, with the challenge being to implement and increase SEO.

We created a WordPress powered website and incorporated the search keywords throughout the content of the site. We used the strategies below to bring more traffic to the site:

• Keywords incorporated throughout the content and also to certain categories and tags.

• Involved Capilano U. Film students to actively blog and add to content regularly. We educated them on how to use the keywords efficiently.

• Increased the traffic to the site through social media strategies, and RSS Feeds.

• Implemented internal and external linkings.
