EFT Shortcuts

In some cases, EFT practitioners skip a section or two and use shortcuts on patients instead of doing the whole sequence of the technique.

There are a few reasons why using shortcuts:

1- This is your first time to try EFT and you want to try something fairly small until you become more familiar with the process.

2- You have some minor pain or discomfort in your body and shortcut would be enough to get rid of it.

3- The physicians often get by with a 15-20 second version of the technique and save time when dealing with many patients.

As it turns out, the energy meridians that circulate through the body are all interconnected and, through experience, it appears that tapping on one meridian will often affect another. Thus, through trial and error, it has been found that tapping on fewer meridians will usually do the job.

In shortcut technique, you might skip the Gamut action, or eliminate the hand sequence and use only the upper body sequence, including the eyebrow points through underarm and back to eyebrow point.

Saying that, however, there is more chance of failure in acheiving result by using shortcuts. Thus, it is recommended to use the full sequence if you are not sure the shortcuts suffice your specific issue or when the intensity of your problem is high.
